Completed research

Sustainability Scholars provide partner institutions with research to move forward with their sustainability objectives. The final reports below summarize any findings that have emerged out of the 250 hour research project. They have been reviewed by the responsible mentors before release.

All public organizations including the City of Edmonton, Government of Alberta and University of Alberta have made their reports public. Scholars with industry partners, including Stantec and Epcor, have also provided reports which may or may not be publicly available.

2020 Presentations

The 2020 Sustainability Scholars cohort presented their work in a new format, in the model of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT). Scholars received training from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research and recorded their presentations at home. They learned to concisely communicate their findings in a way that connects with a general audience, using only a single powerpoint slide.
