- Debra Froese, Clinical Instructor, Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine — recipient of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine 2016 Clinical Teaching Award
- Robert Hayes, Professor, Associate Chair Research, Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, Faculty of Engineering — recipient of a three-year Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Strategic Partnership Grant.
- Shumaila Hemani, Graduate student, Faculty of Arts — recipient of the 2015 Cultural Diversity in the Arts award project grants
- Conor Holash, Student, Faculty of Law — earned the top oralist prize during the Bennett Jones Cup in Health Law Advocacy at a mooting competition in Calgary
- Jane Kline, Properties Master, Department of Drama, Faculty of Arts — winner of the 2016 SkirtsAfire design competition.
- Brooklyn Legault, Undergraduate Student, Panada’s basketball — named the 2015/16 CIS Women’s basketball Rookie of the Year
- Dongyang Li, Professor, Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering — recipient of a three-year Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Strategic Partnership Grant.
- Xiang-Fang Li, Researcher, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry — recipient of a three-year Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Strategic Partnership Grant.
- Patricia (Trish) Manns, Professor, Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine — Recipient of the 2016 Faculty Teaching Award and also recognized by the Rehabilitation Medicine Students Association (RMSA) with one of three RMSA Excellence in Teaching Awards
- Logan Miller, Matthieu Beaubien, Brian Zisin, Victor Basu, and Jordan Parker, Business students, the Alberta School of Business — won the 2016 CFA Institute Research Challenge in the Canadian Prairies
- Sharon Morsink, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, Faculty of Science — Named the Faculty of Science’s March 2016 Instructor of the Month
- Austen Neil, Chandre Van De Merwe and Nicolle Mah, Nutrition and Food Science students, Faculty of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences — their BiotaGelata placed second at the national competition for Mission ImPULSEible
- Paige Ridout, Undergraduate Student, Panda’s track and field — Won silver in the Pole Vault competition during the 2016 CIS track and field championships.
- Jordan Rowley, Undergraduate Student, Golden Bears hockey- named a CIS second team all-Canadian.
- Andrea Ruelling, Lab Coordinator and Clinical Educator, Department of Communications Sciences and Disorders, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine — recognized by the Rehabilitation Medicine Students Association (RMSA) with one of three RMSA Excellence in Teaching Awards
- Amber Savage, PhD candidate, Family and Disability Studies Initiative, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine — recipient of the Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship
- Karthik Shankar, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering — recipient of a three-year Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Strategic Partnership Grant.
- Melissa Skoczylas, Sessional Instructor, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine — recipient of the Faculty of Rehabilitationilitation Medicine 2016 Sessional Teaching Award
- Leah Walkeden, Rachel Rosin, Cassandra Grenke and Ashley Whiteman, Undergraduate students, Panda’s track and field — won the gold medal in the 4 x 200m CIS track and field championships
- Karin Werther, Sessional Instructor, Department of Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine — recognized by the Rehabilitation Medicine Students Association (RMSA) with one of three RMSA Excellence in Teaching Awards
- Ashley Whiteman, Undergraduate Student, Panda’s track and field — raced to gold Canada West gold (300m and 4x200m) and silver (600m) at the 2016 CIS track and field championships.
- Hongbo Zeng, Associate Professor, Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, Faculty of Engineering — recipient of a three-year Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Strategic Partnership Grant.
