As a follow-up to the update about the brand last week, we are pleased to share new brand assets and templates that faculty and staff can begin using now.

While we are not launching the full brand just yet, some assets have been added to Canto for download by anyone with a CCID. The interim brand guidelines are located on Canto as well; please make sure you have reviewed these before using our new brand assets. The following assets are now available:

  • Electronic Stationery
  • Fonts
  • Interim brand guidelines
  • Letterhead
  • Primary logo
  • PowerPoint template
  • Research Poster presentation templates
  • Wallpaper
  • Zoom backgrounds

It is recommended that people continue to visit Canto for assets rather than downloading them to desktops to make sure the most recent templates/files are being utilized.

At the Faculty and Staff Login page, do not immediately put your email and password into the provided space. Instead, select the ‘Login Using SSO’ option at the bottom. Once you enter your CCID and password, you should have full access to the library.

If you’re unable to login beyond this point, contact us at toolkit@ualberta.ca.

Additional information on the new U of A brand as well as new templates can also be found by visiting the Marketing and Communications toolkit page. One way our community can get on brand immediately is by updating their official U of A email signature; we’ve created a step-by-step guide to help.

Additional assets are in development and will be shared at a later date (full guidelines, e-newsletter headers and templates, report covers, SUTV designs, posters etc.). We know that many of you have inquired about business cards, the design is complete and we are working with Burke to test print the cards and update the online ordering system template.

Thank you to everyone who has started to implement the new assets we’ve been sharing and for providing feedback as you start to use them. Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to toolkit@ualberta.ca
