Do you dream of becoming a PhysEd teacher? This combined program allows you to complete two degrees – a Bachelor of Kinesiology, and a Bachelor of Education (Elementary) – in just five years.

By studying Kinesiology, you’ll gain expertise in human movement, exercise science, and athletic movement, preparing you for a variety of related careers in teaching and sport.

Michael, from Maskwacis, AB (Samson Cree Nation), is a graduate of the combined Kinesiology/Education degree. A former member of the Augustana Vikings basketball team, Michael is now employed as a teacher and continues to coach basketball and mentor Indigenous youth.

Because the U of A wants you to succeed, our admissions policy ensures that all students, regardless of citizenship, have the language skills they need to understand, participate and learn in our classes. The primary language of instruction in our classes, with the exception of those at the Faculte Saint-Jean, is English. The Office of the Registrar administers over $28 million each year in scholarships, awards, and financial support for undergraduate students, as well as financial and loan advising. Additional scholarships are also available for specific faculties and programs.
