Tandem bikes: they're a little unexpected, at times romantic, and always an exercise in trust. During this year's Corporate Challenge (where the U of A came in third overall for our division), the ultimate tandem bike made its way to the U of A's north campus in the form of the Big Bike Challenge. Members of the university came together to ride a really big bicycle in what proved to be a tremendously fun expression of community support and adventure.
Together, the group was able to steer their way around campus while also helping the Heart & Stroke Foundation by raising $9,262 - well above the original goal of $7,500.
