An emergency can happen at any time. Knowing what to do will help to ensure the best possible outcome.
Read through the following procedures so that you know what to do in case of an emergency at the University of Alberta:

- Active shooter or violent individual
- Alarms & evacuation

- Hazardous materials release or exposure

Prepare for an emergency
- Learn about U of A Alerts and how to sign up for emergency notifications
- Review the emergency procedures regularly so that you know what to do in case of an emergency.
- Does your faculty or department have a unit action plan? Ask your supervisor and review the plan to learn about response measures that might be specific to your unit.
