e3 Teaching Proposals

Teaching with e3

University of Alberta International is pleased to invite academic staff to submit course proposals for Winter 2018 and Spring/Summer 2018 for the e3 in Brazil, Berlin, French Alps and Washington, DC.

e3 is an unique education abroad opportunity that provides students with three experiences in one location, fusing academics with real-life work experience and language acquisition. Starting with e3 in Berlin in 2013, we have expanded the program to Brazil (in Curitiba), and the United States (Washington, DC) and now Grenoble in the French Alps. In the process, we have sent over 200 UAlberta students to study and intern in these locations.

We are now accepting course proposals for teaching in Brazil for Winter 2018 (which, of course, is summer in Brazil), as well as Germany, Washington, DC and Grenoble in Summer Term 2018.

This call for proposals is directed to professors of all ranks in all Faculties, including faculty lecturers and staff on sabbatical leave. Teaching for e3 is usually considered extra to load and is remunerated per current salary scales for teaching a 3 credit course. All the details about teaching with e3 are also in our online Faculty Handbook.

If you would like to be considered for one (or more) of these teaching opportunities, we ask that you read the instructions and complete a course proposal using the online template.

The deadline for submission of the proposals is March 12, 2017. If you have additional questions, please feel free to email the e3 Program Coordinator, Ashley Laracy or call her at 780-492-1578.

We thank you in advance for your consideration of this opportunity and we look forward to reviewing all submissions. Decisions will be made by the end of March 2017.
