UAlberta MOST Joint Research Labs

The University of Alberta has been cooperating with the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MOST) on a Joint Research Laboratories (JRL) program since 2005.

With support from the Alberta government and UAlberta’s Office of the Vice-President (Research), the university created the China Opportunity Fund for UAlberta professors to engage in collaboration with counterparts at China’s elite State Key Laboratories (SKL) or National Laboratories (NL).

  • Phase III: Available only for projects that have previously received Phase II funding and demonstrate significant potential for technology commercialization. A maximum of $25,000 annually per project is available, for up to two years.
