The Spirit of Dr. Armour Award
This award is presented to a grade 11 student, who, through their participation in the Summer Research Program has shown:
- a genuine interest and passion in pursuing a STEM education
- leadership and engaged participation in all the SRP program offers
- collaborative interactions with other SRP participants, PIs, graduate students, WISEST staff, and lab staff
- an innovative and creative problem-solving approach
- demonstrated resilience in overcoming barriers and obstacles
Nan and Margaret-Ann Armour WISEST Participant Scholarship (Renewable)
Field of Study: Science
Value: $1,500 payable over two years
Number: 1
Conditions: Awarded on the basis of superior academic achievement to a student entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Science who has participated in the WISEST Summer Research Program. Recipient will be selected on the basis of Grade 11 and/or Grade 12 final marks. Receipt of the funding for the second year is contingent upon the achieving a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a full normal course load in the Faculty of Science.

Application/Nomination Procedure: By nomination from the Faculty of Science. (This means that you do not apply for this scholarship. Instead you are selected from the pool of WISEST Alumni, based on your grades.)
Dr. Marguerite Lambert Leng WISEST Rising Star Scholarship
Field of Study: Biochemistry
Conditions: Awarded to a student with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Science who has participated in the WISEST Summer Research Program and will be pursuing an Honors or Specialization degree program in Biochemistry. If a qualified candidate cannot be found in Biochemistry, then eligible students who will be pursuing either a Specialization or Honors degree program in Chemistry or who declare a Chemistry major in the General degree program will be considered, provided all other requirements are met. Selection based on their admission average.
