Recent Women's Studies graduate Stephanie Laskoski (BA Honors 2008) is running as a liberal candidate in the riding of Edmonton East for the upcoming election. Described as a "tireless advocate of women's issues," Stephanie recently completed a documentary film that carefully investigates the politics of solicitation laws in Alberta. Her election mandate calls for revitalization of the Edmonton East community, and increased attention to issues of poverty, immigration, and the arts.
