TEMPORARY TEACHING POSITIONS
FALL 2010/WINTER 2011
The Women's Studies program anticipates that it will have part-time temporary teaching positions in the Fall 2010 and Winter 2011 terms, as follows:
W ST 201Introduction to Women's Studies (A3 T/R 11:00-12:20, cap of 45)
Introduces students to the field of Women's Studies, with emphasis on the theoretical foundations of feminist analysis and the diversity of debates within feminism.
W ST 360 Race, Class and Gender in Canada (B1 MWF 12-12:50, cap of 30)
Historical, contemporary and comparative perspectives on the interaction of race, class, and gender experiences in multicultural Canada.
Individuals wishing to apply for the temporary teaching positions should submit a letter indicating their interest and outlining their suitability for the position, together with an updated CV to Jo-Ann Wallace, Chair, Women's Studies Program, no later than July 19, 2010. Applications may be submitted electronically to jo-ann.wallace@ualberta.ca.
Instructors will be appointed in accordance with the Contract Academic Staff: Teaching Agreement as well as Program Teaching Standards policy. Salaries will be subject to the University Furlough Levy. Updates regarding temporary teaching positions will be posted as they become available.
