URI Festival of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities

31 October 2016

The Department of Women's & Gender Studies recently learned about some totally awesome opportunities through the Undergraduate Research Initiative, including FURCA!

The Festival of Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities is an "annual, campus-wide celebration of undergraduate research, showcasing the research and creative achievements of undergraduate students across all disciplines."

Tony Luong - one of our own graduates! - from URI came by the Department to encourage more Women's & Gender Studies undergraduate participation in this event...and we think that's a great idea!

Showcase your research and creative achievements through FURCA, March 13-17, 2017. (Abstract submissions currently open, closing February 1, 2017.)
Find out more about FURCA here.

And learn more about other opportunities through the Undergraduate Research Initiative, including funding such as the $5000 Undergraduate Researcher Stipend, on their website.

Happy researching!
