WGS Student Awarded URI Stipend!

The Department of Women's and Gender Studies congratulates Sauleha Farooq, who has been awarded a $5,000 Undergraduate Research Intiative (URI) stipend. Sauleha is a BSc student majoring in Biological Sciences with a minor in Women's and Gender Studies. She will be working with Dr Michelle Meagher over the summer months on a research project called "Sports and Stereotypes: An examination of Muslim women's perspectives on sports".
