• Leijun Li obtained a B.S. in Mechanical (Welding) Engineering from Huazhong University of Science & Technology, and a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the Warren "Doc" Savage Materials Joining Lab at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
• Academic Supervisor Genealogy: Leijun Li was supervised by Robert W. Messler, Jr., who was supervised by George S. Ansell, who was supervised by Fritz V. Lenel, who was supervised by Arnold Eucken, who was supervised by Walther H. Nernst, best known for Nernst Equation.
