I. How to Book Flights to Edmonton

Please contact the travel agency designated by us (listed below) via phone or e-mail as soon as possible to book your flight to Edmonton.

You must first identify yourself as a participant in the National Japanese Speech Contest (NJSC), and provide the following information to book your flight:

(a) departure city;
(b) preferred departure time from home city to Edmonton for Saturday, March 31; and
(c) preferred departure time from Edmonton to home city for Sunday, April 1.

II. Travel Dates

Please note that the departure date from the home city should be the morning of the contest, Saturday, March 31, for all participants EXCEPT those from the Atlantic provinces and Quebec. Participants from the Atlantic provinces and Quebec may leave a day earlier (i.e. on Friday, March 30) and spend the night of March 30 in Edmonton in addition to the night of March 31 if it is difficult to reach Edmonton in time for the contest. The contest will commence at 3:30pm on Saturday, March 31. The departure date from Edmonton to return home should be Sunday, April 1 for all participants.

III. Modifying Your Travel Plans

Participants are responsible for any cost arising from deviating travel plan (e.g. additional night at the hotel, higher airfare, etc.). Also any necessary arrangements for such deviation must be made by the participant himself/herself.
