After completing one of the most dominant season’s in Pandas volleyball history, recent alumni Meg Casault has added to her impressive resume, as she was named to the Canadian National Women’s Volleyball Team.

This is the second time Casault has suited up for the red and white, after playing for Canada at the 2015 Summer Universiade Games in Gwangju, South Korea.

Casault, who is coming off her fifth and final season with the Pandas, ended her career on a high. The Edmonton-born outside hitter was named a Canada West and U SPORTS first team all-star, Canada West Player of the Year, and U SPORTS Women’s Volleyball Player of the Year. Casault also broke the all-time conference kills record this past season, finishing her Panda career with 1,312 kills.

“We are all very happy for Meg as she continues her international career representing Canada.  She has worked hard at developing every aspect of her game and we know that as the challenges increase, so will her game.” said Pandas volleyball head coach Laurie Eisler. “We wish her and her teammates all the best as they embark on a new era for Team Canada in Richmond, and with their new coaching staff led by Marcello Abbondanza.”

The 2017 National Team will compete at numerous events and tournaments between June and October, highlighted by the FIVB World Grand Prix, hosted by Team Canada at the Richmond Oval in late July. Canada will also compete in the Pan Am Cup in June and the NORCECA Continental Championship in October. The team will also train and play with the American National Team from June 12th to 14th.
