This week, the University of Alberta is celebrating SSHRC grant recipients, PLLC award winners, and more! So, congratulations to the following:

  • Jennifer Argo, Carthy Professor in Marketing, Alberta School of Business - received an Insight Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council for her project, "Too much space is feeding food waste"
  • Rosana Fok, Faculty Lecturer, Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, Faculty of Science - named Instructor of the Month in the Faculty of Science
  • Dylan Gibbs, Student, Faculty of Law - won first place in the Brimacombe Selection Round moot tournament
  • Tylor Henry, Golden Bears Football - named U of A Athlete of the Week and Canada West Player of the Week
  • Runjuan Liu, Alexander Hamilton Associate Professor, Alberta School of Business - received an Insight Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council for her project, "The complex relationship between international trade and the domestic labor market: new empirical evidences from micro data"
  • Radha Saikia, Student - received the Weatherill Family Award from the Peter Lougheed Leadership College
  • Barry Scholnick, Professor, Alberta School of Business - received an Insight Grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council for his project, "Keeping up with the Joneses: household level evidence of neighbourhood peer effects"
  • Kritika Sharma, Student, Faculty of Law - won second place in the Brimacombe Selection Round moot tournament
  • Joel Tatlow, Student - received the Roger Phillips PLLC Scholarship in Business from the Peter Lougheed Leadership College
  • Alexander Wong, Student - received the Cecil E Race Leadership Scholarship from the Peter Lougheed Leadership College
  • Faculty of Physical Education & Recreation's EHS Committee - received the U of A's EHS Committee Award
