As part of the University of Alberta’s institutional feedback to the Tri-Council Agencies, we are contacting you to elicit your feedback on the Draft Tri-Agency Research Data Management Policy and FAQs.

This policy is important because it has implications for individual and institutional responsibilities and requirements around managing research data associated with Tri-Council research awards. The policy extends to all types of quantitative and qualitative data — as well as non-electronic data. The policy may also have implications for the inclusion of data management plans in funding applications, institutional resources, and technical and cultural changes in data handling practices.

The University is well placed to develop institutional policies and services for research data management and we would value your feedback on your main perceptions and concerns regarding the draft policy.

The policy may have implications for the inclusion of data management plans in funding applications, institutional resources, and technical and cultural changes in data handling practices.

Your responses can be submitted via the following survey link before 9:00 a.m. MT on Tuesday, August 7th 2018.
