I am proud to announce the University of Alberta’s 2022 Killam Laureates

Twenty five doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows and professors from across the university are joining the ranks of Killam endowment recipients this year. Their outstanding efforts in teaching, research and creative activities have positively impacted our campuses and community in fields including health care, science and education. These leaders are conducting groundbreaking research, yet we are only seeing the beginning of what they will achieve. Financial assistance from the Killam Trusts will help make those next accomplishments possible.

The Killam awards have been offered since 1967 to recognize stellar academic achievement, leadership and extraordinary success in teaching and research. I am grateful to the Killam trustees for stewarding these important trusts, which further learning, creativity and research for both the U of A and its Killam laureates.

Please join me in congratulating the U of A’s 2022 Killam Laureates!

Dr. Verna Yiu
Interim Provost and Vice-president (Academic)
