Being a student is stressful — even moreso than usual with the additional challenges of COVID-19 and remote learning. It is more important than ever that we make time to assess and support our mental health, and World Mental Health Day on October 10 is a good reminder of this!

Regardless of having a diagnosed mental illness or not, every one of us can work towards what optimal mental health looks like for ourselves. Caring for our mental health during a pandemic may mean that some of our practices have changed. Self-care for your mental health is important, not because you need to be productive, but because you matter.
