6th Round of China-Canada Track Two Dialogue

On October 18th, 2021 the 6th annual Round of China-Canada Track Two Dialogue took place between Chinese representatives in Beijing and Canadian representatives joining the call from across Canada. This is the second straight Dialogue that has taken place virtually due to the Pandemic. Previous iteration of the Dialogue took place in Ottawa, Beijing and Banff.

The Canadian delegation for the 6th round of China-Canada Track Two dialogue included;

The dialogue also featured guest remarks by Canada’s Ambassador to China, H.E. Dominic Barton and Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy to Canada, Ms. Heping Lan.

Main points of conversation during the dialogue included;
  • Moving Canada-China relations forward in light of the resolution of consular cases & how similar situations can be avoided in the future
  • Areas with overlapping interests for both Canada and China
  • Can Canada and China find ways to promote multinational solutions to trade, environmental and international issues?
