The curriculum for the course-based program includes seven mandatory core courses. Coursework covers small-group and organizational communication; the theory, history, and practice of information and communications technologies; and the research skills associated with analyzing and evaluating these technologies, particularly as they are managed and used in the workplace. In addition, students complete three electives which can be taken at any time during the program (except during the first and second spring institutes).
- 7 required “core” courses
- 3 elective courses
- Final applied research project course
A small number of students may be considered for the thesis route after admission to the MACT program. Applications may be made in the summer after completion of the first spring institute. Students should consult with their academic advisor prior to applying.
