1) CVRI RESEARCH DAY 2026 - Thank you for making it a success! 

CVRI Research Day 2026 was another tremendous success, bringing together faculty, trainees, clinicians, research staff, and guests to celebrate cardiovascular research and innovation. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this year's event a memorable one.

2) REMINDER: CVRI/CVRC TOWN HALL meeting 

DATE: Thursday, July 23, 2026
TIME: 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
LOCATION:  1-040 LKS ADI Seminar Hall (Oborowsky Seminar Hall)
*Lunch will be provided

We remind all CVRI/CVRC members and trainees to join us for an important Town Hall Meeting. This is an opportunity to learn about current initiatives, contribute ideas, and help shape future priorities for our institute. Your input is important as we continue to strengthen our community.

Town Hall Objectives:

1. CVRI/CVRC Core Facilities
     Discuss the current state and future direction of the CVRI/CVRC core facilities.
 2. Student Engagement
     Explore new strategies to enhance trainee participation in educational activities, including Research  Day, and discuss the potential establishment of a trainee-led working group to support institute initiatives.
 3. Open Discussion on CVRI Priorities
     Share ideas, suggestions, and feedback on future priorities, initiatives, opportunities for growth, and collaboration.
 

3) Save the Date: FoMD Research Nexus!

Join the Office of Research for the annual research fair, now called the FoMD Research Nexus, on Wednesday, October 28, 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. in the Katz Atrium.

This trade-show style event offers a unique opportunity for FoMD researchers to connect directly with various research support units, network, and discover resources to assist with your work.
