Convocation Hall is more than a venue; it is the heart of the University of Alberta’s artistic life.

For more than 110 years, this irreplaceable space has been where sound, historic beauty, and artistic ambition come together. It is where students gather to rehearse, collaborate and bring their work to life.

As we celebrate 80 years of music programming at the U of A, and 60 years of the Department of Music, we invite you to help us write the next chapter for this historic landmark. 

Each year, Convocation Hall welcomes over 40,000 attendees and hosts more than 100 events. Beyond the public stage, it is a creative lab where students learn by doing, exploring performance, production, and design in a professional setting. The hall reflects the spaces our students perform and work in, helping them grow into confident and creative professionals.
