Eligibility

  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to full-time registered students in any year of a graduate program in the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine
  • Order of preference: 1. Given to a student in a Rehabilitation Science degree program who is also a UAlberta alumnus; 2. given to a student in any graduate degree program who is also a University of Alberta alumnus.
  • Selection based on academic achievement.
  • Selection based on demonstrated experience in collaborative, cross disciplinary rehabilitation and demonstrated excellence in educational experiences, clinical skills and volunteer or rehabilitation professional activities.


How to apply

By Nomination Only: Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty) and will be part of a competitive adjudication. The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
