Eligibility

  • The successful nominee will have a GPA of no less than 3.5
  • Department of Philosophy
  • Nominee is entering a graduate degree program
  • On the basis of outstanding work in senior courses in philosophy
  • Nominee will demonstrate a particular interest in the philosophy of Kant or the field of ethics
  • Although priority will be given to nominees who did their undergraduate work at the University of Alberta, consideration may be given to graduates of other Canadian universities
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
