Thomas Slimmon Memorial Graduate Award in Materials Engineering

Nominations are due in the Spring/Summer term

Eligibility

  • Satisfactory academic standing
  • Must be registered in any year of any graduate program in Materials Engineering whose area of research is metallurgy/corrosion
  • Preference given to students who do not hold other major awards or scholarships valued at $15,000 or greater
  • Selection based on academic achievement
  • Open to Canadian citizens
  • Open to permanent residents
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs
  • Open to applicants in masters programs
  • Open to full time and part time registered students


How to apply

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty) and will be part of a competitive adjudication. The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
