Eligibility

  • Nominee must have completed and obtained the highest grade point average of their normal course work requirements during the first two years of the PhD program
  • Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences
  • Nominee's focus must be in geology
  • Preference may be given to a nominee who is not the recipient of awards totaling more than $3,000
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.


How to apply

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
