Eligibility

  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to Graduate Certificate students.
  • Selection based on satisfactory Academic Standing.
  • Must be registered full-time in any graduate program in the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine.
  • Preference given to a student who is a member of the Rehabilitation Medicine Students' Association.
  • Selection based on satisfactory academic standing.
  • Selection based on demonstrated involvement in coaching, athletics (cross country
  • long distance running, hockey, rowing).
  • Selection based on involvement in the broader community through sport, recreation, rehabilitation and mental health & wellness initiatives.
  • Award can only be held once by a student.
  • Eligible students must submit applicable application form including a letter (max 750 words) outlining the student's demonstrated involvement in the community since entering the Faculty as a graduate student.


How to apply

By Nomination Only: Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty) and will be part of a competitive adjudication. The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
