Tom Kieren Graduate Scholarship in Mathematics Education
Eligibility
- Superior Academic Achievement (equivalent to a GPA of 3.5 or greater on the U of A grading scale)
- Faculty of Education: Secondary Education
- Nominee's area of research is the teaching and learning of Mathematics
- Nominee must be an outstanding student
- Selection will be based on superior academic achievement (equivalent to a GPA of 3.5 or greater on the U of A grading scale)
- Nominee may receive this scholarship only once
- In the event the scholarship is not awarded in any given year, two may be awarded the following year
- Open to Canadian citizens.
- Open to permanent residents.
- Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
- Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
- Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.
How to apply
By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
