Jonathan Grossman

 

Jonathan Grossman is an Archival Assistant at the Bohdan Medwidsky Ukrainian Folklore Archives, and an MA student at the Kule Folklore Centre. He grew up in Edmonton, and his ancestors arrived in Alberta during the early waves of Ukrainian immigration. Jonathan holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Ukrainian Folklore from the University of Alberta, and is currently pursuing a Master's program in Media and Cultural Studies at the University of Alberta. For his thesis project, Jonathan is going to conduct ethnographic field research, examining the lives of Ukrainian newcomers in Yukon Territory.

Jonathan is a devoted supporter of the Ukrainian-Canadian community and has been a longtime volunteer at the Kule Folklore Centre. In the past, he worked with the University of Alberta Museums.
