Onu Didriksen, Greenland Exchange Student makes the news!

Onu Didriksen has just returned home to Nuuk after an exciting and challenging exchange period in Canada, where he studied linguistics.

The national Greenlandic newspaper Sermitsiaq wrote an article about MA student Onu Didriksen's visit to the University of Alberta.

Onu is a student at Ilisimatusarfik, the University of Greenland and visited faculty member Anja Arnhold for collaboration and training. The two are working together with Naja Blytmann Trondhjem (Ilisimatusarfik and University of Copenhagen) on the SSHRC-funded Insight Grant project "Linguistic complexity in the marking of new information".

Onu's visit was supported by a Mitacs Globalink Research Award for the project "Focus marking in Kalaallisut".  Onu says that as an exchange student in Alberta, "I learned an incredible amount both academically and socially."
