Thursday, April 23 | 4 p.m.
Studio 2-7
FAB 2-7, Fine Arts Building, University of Alberta Campus
How does a museum decide which songs, stories, and artifacts define a nation? Join Dr. Brian Fauteux in conversation with Dr. Judith Klassen, Curator of Music and Performing Arts at the Canadian Museum of History. They’ll discuss the challenges of curating popular music, from Mitsou to Indigenous soundscapes, and ask what it means to archive the 'sound' of Canada.
There is no charge to attend. Reception to follow (U of A faculty, staff, students and invited guests).
