KitchenTalks Series
KitchenTalks is a monthly event for all members of the PGSG to attend an informal social evening, where one student presents their ongoing research or tests out an idea they are working through and would like friendly feedback from their peers. The format is similar to a conference presentation (yet very low stakes), whereby the speaker presents for 15-20mins, followed by a Q&A with the attendees. The remainder of the evening is for socializing freely. Students can use KitchenTalks as a way to practice a presentation that has been accepted at a conference, get feedback on capstone/dissertation work, or simply present their past research that will generate a fun discussion!
Inquiries from graduate students about upcoming talks or scheduling a presentation should be directed to pgsg@ualberta.ca.
