Dale Dorsey (1976–2026)

We are saddened to hear about the loss of Dr. Dale Dorsey. Dale was an Assistant Professor in our department from 2007 to 2008. At what was just the beginning of an academic career, Dale displayed his intellectual promise to our department community. His scholarship in moral philosophy includes four books: The Basic Minimum: A Welfarist Approach (2012, Cambridge University Press), The Limits of Moral Authority (2016, Oxford University Press), A Theory of Prudence (2021), and On Fellowship (in press, Oxford University Press).

Dale will long be fondly remembered.
