Ag-Food Innovation Endowment

Summer Field Research

Advance learning and research to feed the world

A lot is changing in today’s agricultural sector. Food systems are increasingly challenging and complicated — sophisticated technologies, increasingly complex operations and disruptive market forces impact farms and food production the world over. Students and researchers at the University of Alberta are getting ready for these changes, but they need your support.

A new endowment — the Ag-Food Innovation Endowment (AgIE) Fund — will ensure students and researchers in Agricultural, Food & Nutritional Sciences are equipped to succeed no matter what the future brings. This flexible fund will help students get learning experiences outside the classroom — internships, research projects, field trips, exchanges and others — that will help them become the leaders and problem solvers our world needs. The fund will also empower researchers to find solutions to pressing issues in the fields of agricultural, food and nutritional sciences.

The AgIE Fund will ensure the university is ready to help students and researchers seize exciting opportunities, while having the flexibility to address changing needs. The learning and research opportunities supported may change from year to year but the tremendous impact of your gift will remain constant.
