Pediatric Sports Medicine Physician

The pediatric sports medicine services at the Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic are provided by a pediatrician with four years of residency training and a one-year sub-specialty fellowship in pediatric sports medicine. The program provides consultation services for active children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Assessment and treatment services are available to active kids of all abilities suffering from sports and activity-related acute and overuse/chronic injury and acute concussions. Advice about rehabilitation plans for specific injuries, including those unique to the pediatric population, is also a component of the service. In addition, we can provide exercise, sport and training advice for all youth, including those with chronic diseases. We can also conduct pre-participation examinations; however, as a non-insured service, fees apply.

Using a family-centered approach, the goal of the program is to have kids of all abilities performing and participating at their ultimate best!
