Our Faculty is home to a wide range of facilities, which rank among the best-equipped facilities for teaching, research, sport and recreation of any university in Canada. Spanning across two campuses and covering over 400,000 sq ft of facility floor space in 37 sport facilities, our students have access to an ice arena, multiple gymnasiums, curling rinks, tennis courts, two pools, indoor and outdoor track and field facilities, turf and grass fields, squash and racquet courts, dance studios and a brand new fitness centre and climbing centre.
The Saville Community Sports Centre (SCSC) is a 350,000 square feet multi-sport facility located on South Campus.
Foote Field a multi-sport facility located on the University of Alberta’s South Campus and is home to Varsity Football, Soccer and Rugby.
The Wilson Climbing Centre is the largest climbing and rappel facility in a post-secondary institution in Canada.
In the heart of the UAlberta campus, North Campus facilities include: Physical Activity and Wellness Centre, Pavilion, Hanson, Fitness and Lifestyle Centre, Wilson Climbing Centre, Main Gym, Clare Drake Arena, gymnasiums, dance studios, multi-purpose studios, various meeting rooms and classrooms.
Located on UAlberta's South Campus and just off the LRT line, our South Campus facilities offer: Foote Field, Outdoor Track and Field, Curling Rink, Tennis Courts, High Performance Training and Research Centre, Competition Gym, Multiple gymnasiums, Indoor Track, Meeting Rooms and Fitness Centre.

The Van Vliet Locker Room Renewal project will update the current Men’s, Women’s and Family locker rooms, as well as provide a reconfiguration of the space to expand the family change room and add an all-gender change room. This reconfiguration will thereby align with the University of Alberta’s commitment to supporting gender and sexual minorities
