The Institution of Knowledge

The Institution of Knowledge Exhibition showcases research-in-action performances and installations that investigate the structures of knowledge currently configuring cultural and educational institutions, and that work to highlight forms of knowledge that have historically been excised from such spaces.

Each work in this exhibition suggests that, if we are to avoid re-inscribing Euro-Western colonial logics and hierarchies, those of us who work within contemporary institutions of knowledge must reorient our practices in ways that are radically relational, situated, and responsively accountable to not only which knowledges and bodies are included but to how such bodies remake the pathways through which knowledge is developed and shared.
