Peter Organisciak has successfully defended his thesis in the MA Humanities Computing Program (with SLIS as a home department); the thesis is entitled "Why Bother? Examining the Motivations of Users in Large-Scale Crowd-Powered Online Initiatives." The project was supervised by Dr. Lisa Given (SLIS), with Drs. Geoffrey Rockwell (Humanities Computing) and Stan Ruecker (Humanities Computing) serving as committee members. Peter is now living in the United States, where he started the PhD program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, this fall. Congratulations Peter!
