Congratulations to Dr. Sharon Farnel, a candidate in the Interdisciplinary PhD program, for successfully defending her thesis!

Sharon Farnel, a PhD candidate in the interdisciplinary PhD program with the School of Library and Information Studies and the Department of Educational Policy Studies successfully defended her PhD thesis on October 26, 2020. Her thesis is entitled "Metadata Frameworks Driven by Indigenous Communities in Canada's North: An Exploration".

The examining committee included the supervisors Dr. Ali Shiri and Dr. Makere Stewart-Harawira, and the examining committee members Dr. Kate Hennessey, Dr. Roger Epp, Dr. Toni Samek, and Dr. Dinesh Rathi. The exam was chaired by Dr. Lynette Shultz.
