Marajathon

Marajathon is an annual fundraising event started by Dr. Brian Maraj in honor of Terry Tenove, one of Dr. Maraj's students who experienced a spinal cord injury during a routine hockey drill. During each 8-hour Marajathon, Dr. Brian Maraj takes on any and all challengers in a game of squash in exchange for a donation to The Steadward Centre. All proceeds go directly to The Steadward Centre's Free2BMe program, which provides physical activity programming for kids and teens with disabilities. Free2BMe programs develop skills and knowledge towards health and wellness while asserting autonomy and independence in a fun and social environment.

We thank Brian for his ten years of dedication to this event that has raised funds to help support the Free2BMe program.
