Congratulations to all of the 2018 Graduate Student Teaching Award Recipients!
In the recent 2018 QS World University Rankings by Subject, the U of A placed among the world's top 100 universities in 20 of the 48 subjects ranked - well done, everyone!
Once again, congratulations to all of the recipients of the U of A's inaugural Great Supervisor Awards!
Finally, we received a special recognition request for Kue Young, dean of the School of Public Health:
"I was very proud to read … that Kue Young, the Dean of our U of A's School of Public Health, is among the signatories to a "Statement on the Foundation for a Smoke-Free World" - the only Canadian university on the list, in fact. These seventeen schools are rejecting $1B of research support offered by the foundation, which it received from Philip Morris International. I thought this praiseworthy stance was worth a shout-out."
-Ksenia Maryniak, Faculty of Arts
