Students need a cumulative 3.0 GPA to be considered for an exchange to the University of Leeds.
Although the GPA requirement for the University of Leeds is 3.0 the admission team are able to consider applications from University of Alberta students with a lower average GPA on a case by case basis. Applicants with a lower GPA will need to include one letter of reference from a current University of Alberta professor attesting to the applicant's ability to succeed academically at the University of Leeds with the University of Leeds part of their exchange application. Acceptance to academic modules will be based on availability and meeting any prerequisite knowledge.

Course Information
Language of Instruction: English
Field of Study: Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and Architecture are not open to study for incoming study abroad students.
PLEASE NOTE: Courses in Law, Languages, Design, Chemical and Process Engineering, Electronic and Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are mainly taught as full-year (i.e., Semester 1 & 2) courses.
Studio Fine Art modules are taught in Semester 1 and the full year (Semester 1 & 2). There are no Semester 2 studio Fine Art modules. Portfolio submissions are required to study studio Fine Art modules.
To study School of Design modules, students must major in Design in their degree with their home university and submit a portfolio for review. The School of Design teaches the majority of their modules across the full academic year (Semester 1 & 2).
To study Media and Communications modules, priority will be given to students who major in Media and Communications in their home degree and please note that these courses are highly competitive and often oversubscribed.
Please note that Psychology courses are also highly competitive and often oversubscribed.
