Licence en Droit (LL.L.)

This program aims to education students in public and private law, domestic and international law, theory and application. The program is taught from historical, social, economic and political angles. A sufficient knowledge of French is required. The Québec bar and the Room of the Notaries recognize the Civil Law degree.

National Combined Program LL.B./LL.L.
This program enables one to study both the civil and common law jurisdictions in English and French within four years; part-time study is also possible. The student chooses which program he/she would prefer and then completes the rest of his/her studies in the alternative program. The fourth year is offered in French and English, so the student may choose. Thus, the scheme is as follows:

LL.L. + 1 year common law in either French or English
OR
LL.B. + 1 year of civil law in either French or English

The benefits to this are various: education in two jurisdictions resulting in two degrees, practicing law at the national level, good basis for international legal work, better mobility and potential for jobs. Admissions for September and January exist.

Certificate of General Law
This one-year program enables you to obtain a basic understanding of various areas of the law. The requirements include: Introduction and Methodology, General Theory and Obligations, Basic Public Law, and Criminal Law.

LL.L. with a specialization in Criminology
This program enables a student to obtain an LL.L. (Civil law degree) in three years. The simultaneous study in criminology covers the basic requirements of the field so that one may advance to graduate studies in Criminology. This is a comprehensive study in delinquents and how they are deal with in criminal law and by the penal system.
