Hi, I am Assistant Professor at the School of Library and Information Studies, Univeristy of Alberta, Edmonton Canada. My research interests are in Knowledge Management Systems, Text Mining, Customer Support Systems and Help Desk Systems, Knowledge Diffusion, Business Intelligence, Management Information System, Human Computer Interaction.
I did Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Along with Ph.D. I also did Masters in Finance from the Department of Finance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Before joining Ph.D. program, I did a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA is equivalent to an MBA degree in India) from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai, India and my major was Marketing and International Business.
I did an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E.) from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, India (then known as Karnataka Regional Engineering College, Surathkal).
I have over five years of corporate experience in different business domains. I worked with TATA International Limited, Mumbai, India for over 3 years in the area of international business after completion of my business administration degree.
I worked with Kirloskar Electric Company, Bangalore, India for 2 years in the area of automation and process re-engineering upon completion of my engineering degree.
