ALES Mini-Internship Program

The ALES Mini-Internship Program (AMIP) offers a unique opportunity for students to get first-hand learning experience on careers in agriculture, life, and environmental sciences. Twice a year during the Fall and Winter reading weeks, this program matches students with an industry specific organization for a visit and volunteer work.

Program Benefits

  • Gain hands-on experience in the animal science industry.
  • Test a career option you’re interested in before you make a commitment to pursue it.
  • Make connections and build relationships with a wide range of people to build your professional network.
  • Hear about opportunities (some with funding) to get the most out of your education through studying abroad, volunteering, or getting paid to work.
  • Receive a certificate of attendance to add to your resume.

Applications for the Winter 2024 program have now closed. Applications for the Fall 2024 program will be announced in September 2024.
