Maritime Security Forum Series

The world's oceans have for centuries garnered the attention of the international community for various reasons, be they geopolitical, strategic, security, competitive, or cooperative. The China Institute's Security Forum works within this context, examining maritime regions such as the South China Sea, East China Sea, and Arctic Ocean. The China Institute brings together scholars, government officials, and representatives of navies from Canada, the US and China and other regional states in a forum to discuss timely issues and address the nexus of relations in maritime security in these regions, geopolitics, international shipping, and the prospects and challenges for cooperation.
