BUAN Major Information Session

The Alberta School of Business hosted a Business Analytics (BUAN) Major Information Session to introduce students to the growing role of data-driven decision-making in today’s business landscape.

During the session, faculty members, including Iblin Lee, Borzou Rostami, Bryan Spencer, Tito Grillo, and Kyle Napier, shared insights into the BUAN program, highlighting its interdisciplinary approach and focus on practical analytics skills. Attendees also heard from industry speaker Wilson Mok, Director of Data & AI at SMS Equipment Inc., and alumni speaker Anton Pash, Team Manager at Alberta Blue Cross, who spoke about real-world applications of analytics and career pathways in the field.

The event provided students with a deeper understanding of how the BUAN major integrates technical expertise with business strategy, preparing graduates to solve complex problems using data.
