As part of the development of the Contemporary China Centre within the Worldwide Universities Network, the University of Alberta hosted a conference on "China 2020."
The goal of the conference was to discuss and analyze China's possible paths of development over the course of the next decade.
The conference program was multi-disciplinary in its format and produced a set of papers that examines the possible shape of China in 2020, from a number of different perspectives: economic development, social change, domestic politics, cultural configurations and international relations.
